Meet The Doctors

Dr. Sarah Carlisle was raised in Yazoo City and Clinton, MS. She is a graduate of Clinton High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Mississippi College. In 2003, Dr. Carlisle received the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. She went on to complete residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UMMC. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists

Dr. Carlisle opened her office in March of 2005. She enjoys helping adults and children maintain a beautiful and health smile. She provides general and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Carlisle is an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church where she teaches preschool Sunday School, children’s choir and sings in the Sanctuary Choir. She enjoys being a mom to Andrew, Caroline and Emma and spending time with her husband, Eddie.

Dr. Diana Long Pappa is originally from Florence, Alabama. She graduated from Shoals Christian School in 2003 and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama in 2007. In pursuit of an education in dentistry, Dr. Pappa moved to Buffalo, New York, and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. Pappa was awarded accolades by the American Academy of Orofacial Pathology and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Radiology, among others, for her excellence in patient care. 

Following dental school, Dr. Pappa moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to pursue advanced training at Louisiana State University and Earl K. Long Hospital, through a General Practice Residency, where she earned certifications in intravenous and oral sedation, as well as general anesthesia dentistry. She has been trained in comprehensive general dentistry for children and adults, and medically complex patients of all ages.

Dr. Pappa is has a strong commitment to continuing education. She has special interests in oral medicine, biomaterials and ceramics, sedation, implant dentistry, and advanced dental surgery. Dr. Pappa continues to work diligently toward earning a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a prestigious award that sets apart elite dentists who are committed to excellence in maintaining the highest standards in patient care and evidence-based dentistry.

Dr. Pappa is an active member of the Mississippi Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Association of Women Dentists, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Christian Medical and Dental Society. She has participated in dental outreach missions both within the U.S. and abroad, specifically in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru. Dr. Pappa is also a local provider for Donated Dental Services of Mississippi.

In her free time, Dr. Pappa enjoys Pure Barre classes, running, watching LSU football, cooking, active involvement in her church, and playing with her Goldendoodle, Sam. She and her husband, Dr. Andres Pappa, who is a prosthodontist and faculty member at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, reside in Madison. The Pappas were delighted to welcome a new addition to their family in July 2016, a son named Ethan.
